UKMPG is endorsing this conference, which will explore the ways in which the planning system for marine and coastal projects will be transformed by the Marine and Coastal Access Bill. The conference will discuss the role and potential impact of the Marine Management Organisation, the powers to be transferred to the MMO by the Bill, the marine works consent procedures, development and sustainability appraisal of marine plans, public consultation and stakeholder engagement, and how the MMO can balance the needs of maritime industries and the protection of the marine environment.
The seminar is aimed at local authorities, planners, developers, port authorities, environmental groups and all those involved in marine planning.

UKMPG is endorsing this conference, which will look at the public consultation requirements of the 2008 Planning Act. The conference will cover guidelines for pre-application consultation, preparing a Statement of Community Consultation, the role of local authorities, engaging communities in the planning process, providing feedback to the community, engaging with hard to reach groups, identifying stakeholders and developing a stakeholder engagement strategy.
